Session Type: Symposium
In this symposium we explore how a school district partnered with its local university to address impacts of systemic racism on its Black community. Two research-practice partnership (RPP) teams will discuss how they drew from diverse expertise, a shared sense of history and context, new conceptualizations of place, and input from stakeholders to develop and implement technical tools optimizing out-of-school learning and student assignment. Representatives from the district, RPP, and university will speak to how both projects contributed to the design of a more equitable and accessible learning ecosystem.
