Abstract

This session will explore current research on how learning design decisions contribute to the learner experience in online settings. A variety of topics related to the impacts of course design will be considered, including behavioral patterns in MOOCs, situational motivation and participation, instantiation of the Community of Inquiry framework across disciplines, support for undergraduate teaching and learning, and social construction of knowledge.
