Abstract

This study analyzed log/process, performance, and survey data of 8th graders with Learning Disabilities (LD) who took the 2017 digital NAEP math assessment. Students in the extended time accommodation (ETA) condition who used extra time scored significantly higher than their peers with LD who did not receive ETA. However, students in the ETA condition who did not use extra time scored significantly lower than their peers with LD who did not receive ETA. Students in the two ETA conditions both reported significantly lower level of perceived time pressure and higher level of math interest and enjoyment than their peers with LD who did not receive ETA. Process data analyses show test-taking behavior differences among three groups of students with LD.
