Understanding inequalities and disparities between and within different demographic groups is key to promoting equitable economic, educational, and skills outcomes. This session will focus on using data and results from the background survey and cognitive skills assessment of the U.S. Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) to examine inequalities and outcomes among the Black adult population, degree non-completers, college-educated immigrants, as well as skills by age across states.
