Abstract
This presentation intends to provide a comprehensive review and synthesis of literature on refugee education. The research questions focused on examining the existing literature’s contribution to understanding refugee education and its potential to support evidence-based practices for SRB. A scoping review approach was employed to conduct a mapping analysis of 200 published articles to determine the extent and general nature of the literature that is available on refugee education. The findings indicated that the literature consists primarily of qualitative research and emphasizes policy and social-emotional supports over pedagogy. Additionally, the results indicated that the existing literature is limited in its contribution to a comprehensive understanding of a cross-cultural body of research on evidence-based pedagogy and schooling of SRB.
