Abstract

AERA’s 2023 Annual Meeting theme, “Interrogating Consequential Education Research in Pursuit of Truth” is a fitting umbrella for this proposed symposium on writing, publishing, and reviewing scholarly research in urban education. In this symposium, authors, editors, SIG members, and reviewers will provide advice and mentoring for graduate students and novice scholars on the issues of writing and publishing in urban education, utilizing the open access online journal supported by AERA’s Urban Learning, Teaching, and Research (ULTR) SIG.
