Research on the trajectories into teaching of Latinx educators has typically examined the junctures and leaks in the Latino Teacher Pipeline that cause this shortage. Expanding on this literature and based on a long-year critical ethnography in a dual language school in Massachusetts, we examine the trajectories into teaching of five Latina dual language teachers. We focus not on the obstacles, but on the experiences and people they encountered that facilitated their path into education. Using Anzaldúas’ conceptualization of the bridge, we share how key practices of cultural wealth, carried and enacted across place and time in seemingly disconnected ways, acted in concert with the teachers’ own intuition and authorship to bridge their journey into the dual language teaching profession.
