Abstract

The pedagogical dimension of artmaking in terms of human becoming has been an important theoretical issue in research and practice of education through art. In the study, I seek to investigate and examine the potential feature(s) of an emerging subjectivity through a long-term photography-based living inquiry. By performative methods of making photographs and the photobook-inspired method of creating a complete body of photographic work via photo-sequencing, two eventful sets of photowork have stood out to inform two conclusions: 1.photographic practice can provoke an emergent and affective subjectivity through performative experiments with the body and camera in place; 2. the process-product of creating a complete body of metaphoric photowork can simultaneously support the crafting of an experiential and aesthetic subjectivity.
