From a Partnership Liaison to a Liaison of Teachers and Learners: An Autoethnography

Abstract

There are calls to increase the teacher candidate population that target school districts with diverse student populations. I worked as a liaison of a partnership between a university and school district supervising teacher candidates. In this autoethnography, I unpack my experiences and share how I saw teachers and students in schools. I learned that by using a relational epistemology and ontology, teachers ended up portraying me as a partner in their always-becoming journeys. I started being the liaison of a university and school district partnership to being the liaison of teachers and learners.
