Abstract

This research project uses data visualisation (DV) as a method to explore data from faculty’s scholarly research to both understand their collaborations and promote future ones. DV allows us to tell stories by opening up interpretations of how these collaborations manifest in a non-departmentalised faculty, instead of merely presenting what the story is. Through this research, we explore a new way to increase external visibility and recognition of the faculty’s scholarly work and services to the community and discover cross-faculty areas of research collaboration. The research project embraces a culture of inquiry through experimenting with different digital technology to enable viewers to act upon and interact with various forms of data.
