A Scoping Review of Classroom Management Assessment Tools (Poster 17)

Sun, April 14, 9:35 to 11:05am, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall A

Abstract

This scoping review aimed to identify, evaluate, and synthesize tools assessing educators' classroom instructional and behavioral management, with a focus on their empirical psychometric evidence. Through a comprehensive scoping analysis, we conducted an extensive EBSCO search, including APA PsycArticles, APA PsycInfo, and ERIC databases, yielding the initial record pool (N = 5,870) and a filtered sample of 1,959 records. Through the rigorous search process, we identified a total of 91 tools encompassing a wide range of instrument formats (e.g., direct observation tools, self-reported rating scales) and measuring a variety of classroom management practices. This poster presentation will describe available assessment tools' measurement focus, approach, and existing psychometric evidence.
