Abstract

Life events can catalyze career transitions among immigrant women, serving as profound learning experiences that lead them to entrepreneurship. This study explores how immigrant women entrepreneurs construct knowledge from their experiences using a basic qualitative approach and employing in-depth, semi-structured interviews and purposive sampling. The analysis revealed that career transitions, driven by life events and socio-cultural factors, act as catalysts for learning and entrepreneurship. Key themes include the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and leveraging existing skills. The findings underscore the need for enhanced learning opportunities, support mechanisms, and inclusive policies to address the unique challenges faced by immigrant women entrepreneurs navigating dual cultural landscapes to achieve entrepreneurial success.
