Session Type: Symposium
This symposium explores the diverse forms of assessment and monitoring in Research Practice Partnerships (RPPs) to enhance educational practice and research in international contexts. Papers showcase experiences, examine difficulties, and identify challenges in assessing RPP effectiveness, providing insights for improvement. RPPs are complex collaborations aiming to bridge educational research and practice gaps, yet evaluating their effectiveness remains challenging. Limited research exists on how to assess RPPs, with frameworks often lacking implementation guidance. Issues include the lack of standardized tools, balancing rigor with feasibility, and varying stakeholder priorities. Presentations will highlight methods, difficulties, and future challenges in evaluating RPPs. The insights aim to strengthen the field and enhance the ability to tackle educational equity, discrimination, and diversity issues.
