Session Type: Paper Session
This paper session focused on emerging research related to the positionality and influence of a growing sector of the higher education workforce, referred to by various titles, including non-tenure track faculty (NTTF), alt-AC (alternative academic careers) or third space careers; and VITAL (visiting, instructor, temporary, adjunct and lecturer). The presenters will provide a range of evidence-based perspectives on the changing role(s) these faculty play both at their institutions and in higher education broadly.
