Abstract

Knowing the public offer available through spatial statistics will allow determining the quality options available to Colombians in post-conflict areas. The purpose is to identify, characterize and geographically locate low-performing establishments and their nearby alternatives. Method: Educational institutions are identified by performance level according to the ICFES classification (A+, A, B, C or D). To locate the schools, a georeferenced base is used with records in KML format or in shape format. The final database is analyzed ArcGIS Desktop7 software, which allows developing spatial analyzes and data visualization. All municipalities have an overrepresentation of poor-quality educational offerings and do not have any quality options nearby. Only 1% of institutions are A+ quality.
