This paper presents findings on the quality of life (QoL) of high school and college students with autism in Italy and the US. Using a self-reported questionnaire measuring adaptability, job expectations and job security, findings showed that high school students’ adaptability in Italy had a positive moderate correlation with Job Expectation. Research has shown that job expectation is a key element of QoL. Using the World Health Organization Quality of Life- BREF (1997), college students with autism in the US reported slightly above mid-level QoL and satisfaction with college life. There were differences among groups based on sex/gender, and race/ethnicity within the individual domains of QoL. Educational implications and recommendations for future research are discussed.
