Abstract

This study used bibliometric techniques to examine the application of the Job-Demands and Resources (JD-R) theory in 417 journal articles in education from 2005 to 2023. This review sought to identify the developmental trajectories of size, time, spatiality, and composition of JD-R application in education. The combination of bibliometric and thematic analysis makes the findings more balanced in terms of in-depth and broadness. Based on the major findings and the existing literature, implications for school effectiveness and school improvement are discussed.
