Proposal: Exploring the Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Teachers’ AI Literacy (Poster 18)

Fri, April 25, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Exhibit Hall Level, Exhibit Hall F - Poster Session

Abstract

This proposal aims to investigate the AI literacy status of pre-service teachers and identify the factors influencing it. A total of 200 responses were collected using Qualtrics. Preliminary descriptive analysis indicates that pre-service teachers do not understand AI and lack confidence in integrating AI into educational settings. Nonetheless, pre-service teachers acknowledge the importance of AI literacy for educators in AI-enhanced education (AIED). This enables teachers to evaluate the practicality, effectiveness, and appropriateness of AI applications in teaching. To enhance AI literacy among pre-service teachers, a combination of practical experience, structured education, and accessible resources is essential. Detailed findings, discussions, and future research directions will be presented at the forthcoming conference.
