Fri, April 25, 8:00 to 9:30am MDT (8:00 to 9:30am MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Terrace Level, Bluebird Ballroom Room 3F

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore collective lived experiences of six Korean international scholars who are peer mentors of Korean American Educational Research Association (KAERA) Early Career Faculty Mentoring program. These scholars have obtained doctorates in various areas of education and hold faculty and/or research positions at institutions in the United States. By sharing the stories of how peer mentors support the affinity community by meetings, mentoring sessions, regular check-ins, publications, and professional engagement, we upfold the power of caring and sharing within the peer mentor community.
