Session Type: Symposium
This symposium explores the political and sociocultural dynamics influencing Research Practice Partnerships (RPPs) in Latin America and the United States. Four case studies illustrate how political contexts impact RPPs, focusing on internal dynamics, decision-making, and equity. The presentations cover district coherence in California, external support capacities in Chile, deeper learning promotion in Peru, and political dynamics in a Chilean RPP. By comparing these diverse contexts, the session aims to identify best practices, challenges, and strategies for navigating political complexities. The insights gained will contribute to the development of effective, context-sensitive approaches for establishing and sustaining RPPs, seeking to inform policy decisions and educational research and practice partnerships from diverse contexts.
