The session "Social Justice and Repair: Addressing Systemic Inequities and Discrimination in Education" explores research-driven strategies to foster equitable and welcoming educational environments. Presenter 1 discusses the benefits of an intergenerational mentorship program on STEM identity for minoritized students. Presenter 2 investigates the college preparation experiences of Black males in urban high schools, emphasizing the role of culturally affirming mentorship. Presenter 3 addresses Islamophobia and the sense of belonging among Muslim college students. By identifying structural barriers and presenting actionable frameworks, this session aims to promote social justice and drive systemic change in education through interdisciplinary research and community engagement.
