Abstract

This session presents four studies exploring key factors that influence student success and learning outcomes. The first study examines predictors of credit hour awards in Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), highlighting how PLA can save students time and money. The second study investigates the role of peer feedback in enhancing graduate students' research skills and productivity, revealing a positive correlation between feedback and research output. The third paper focuses on the impact of AI tools on students with varying CGPAs, showing that AI particularly benefits those with lower GPAs. The final study analyzes self-control among master’s students in China and its effect on academic performance, identifying significant challenges in maintaining focus and discipline.
