Abstract

This session invites graduate students and early career researchers to explore strategies for extending their research beyond disciplinary boundaries to engage with diverse communities. By fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and connecting research to real-world challenges, participants will discuss how to make meaningful contributions to remedy and repair in education. The panel will feature insights from scholars who have successfully navigated cross-disciplinary work and community partnerships, offering guidance on how to align research with the broader social, political, and environmental contexts highlighted by the 2025 AERA Annual Meeting theme. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas to enhance the impact of their research, contributing to the renewal of education and democratic ideals.
