Session Type: Workshop
Systemic inequities impact access to inclusive, high-quality learning environments across the United States. For early-career scholars, securing National Science Foundation, Spencer and other federal and private funding agencies is key to developing community-driven educational initiatives that address these disparities. This session will equip early-career scholars with strategies to obtain funding for equity-centered research in learning environments. Participants will learn to build local partnerships, integrate community feedback into proposals, and align with funding priorities. Emphasis will be placed on grant-writing best practices and designing inclusive, impactful learning spaces that foster educational equity and social justice, supporting scholars in building research portfolios that drive meaningful change.
