To achieve social justice, bilingual teacher leaders were promoted to enroll in an online principal preparation master’s program. Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL), is a three-day professional development program designed by the state education agency. Till 2020, it was mandatory that the training be delivered face-to-face but it becomes virtual due to COVID 19 pandemic. In this mixed methods study, 44 participants participated to examine the leadership experience that the AEL training provides to principal candidates. The quantitative results showed significant differences in the participants’ leadership experiences and their understanding of the AEL themes and strands before and after the AEL delivery. The qualitative results confirmed that the gained leadership knowledge integrated with the courses of the principal preparation program.
