Using three layers of theoretical frameworks--prismatic theory, arts-based research, and DisCrit—this research project tells the stories of women during the pandemic including student, daughter, sister, mother, professor, wife, leader, educator, and domestic engineer. Their stories further solidify the idea of women as “the cornerstone” of educational success and highlight the diverse voices and perspectives of women in and outside academia living with and without dis/abilities. What becomes apparent is the multiplicity of ways in which women navigate the world. This work expands the research cannon and furthers exploration of creative structures in academia. It behooves us, as scholars, to understand and engage in multiple forms of research rather than limit what we have to say as we explore education.
