The North Carolina Mathematics and Science Education Network Pre-College Program (NC-MSEN PCP) is a STEM enrichment program operated through a partnership between North Carolina State University and the Wake County Public School System, and is designed to increase the number of historically underserved students who are prepared to pursue STEM majors. We conduct an evaluation of postsecondary outcomes for NC-MSEN PCP participants, including mediators and moderators. Preliminary results suggest that almost all program participants enrolled in college and that two-thirds declared a STEM major, both greater than national averages. This analysis contributes to the literature on long-running STEM enrichment programs for underrepresented students, and demonstrates the value of programs that support students throughout middle and high school.
