Contributions to this panel focus on the micro-foundations of the political economy of redistribution, with a particular interest on taxation and insurance tools. Specifically, working under a common analytical framework, contributors revisit experimentally themes such as the causes of tax compliance, the relationship between risk and skills' investment, support for insurance policies, and the link between altruism and risk.
