Session Submission Type: Roundtable
Cybersecurity policy presents an intriguing opportunity for both scholars and policymakers. Emerging technologies may offer particular benefits for bridging the gap, given that both sides are less likely to come in with strongly held priors. Moreover, U.S. cyber strategy and policy is currently the subject of intense debate, both inside and outside the policy community, making this the ideal time to explore the scholar-practioner relationship. This roundtable will explore how scholarship is influencing current strategy discussions about US cybersecurity policy, and how policy is shaping the scholarly debate. The participants include officials from U.S. Cyber Command and scholars of cybersecurity.
