What does the science of forecasting tells us about how to make the most accurate forecasts of political events? Topics such as the role of "big data," choice of unit of analysis, over-fitting, accurate assessment of uncertainty, and machine learning will be examined. Both practitioners and Political Scientists will speak. Lessons from recent elections will also be discussed.
