Non-Hispanic whites make up an ever decreasing share of the U.S. population, generating more room for both cross-racial cooperation and cross-racial conflict. This panel probes both the present and future role of race/ethnicity in American politics, with particular attention to Black, Latinx, and Asian American solidarity, determinants of white racial animus, and prospects for multiethnic representation and coalition building.
