Session Submission Type: Virtual Workshop
This workshop will be held off of APSA's virtual platform. A link to join this meeting will be posted on the virtual platform prior to the event.
The idea behind this workshop is to set the historical table on the close ties between IPSA and APSA by identifying successful projects and collaborations over the years as well as challenges we may have faced in maintaining and strengthening our relationship. This would also be an opportunity to share the advances made by IPSA with its administrative reform initiated by former President Ilter Turan and completed by President Emerita Marianne Kneuer. Finally, the workshop participants will be asked to think of the future and of ways to broaden the scope of the relationship. While the focus of our organizations, particularly IPSA and ISA, was set mostly on Europe following WWII, the 21st century is more than ever geared towards focusing on other parts of the world, as well as on gender and diversity balance within our organizations and the broader political science international community.
