Work That Matters: Donald R. Kinder's Contributions to Political Science

Session Description

This roundtable will provide participants with an opportunity to commemorate Donald R. Kinder’s research legacy. Kinder is the Philip E. Converse Distinguished University Professor Emeritus. He retired and received emeritus status in 2021, capping a successful forty-year career at the University of Michigan. A Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science and the National Academy of Sciences, Kinder is an established expert in political psychology, elections, public opinion, voting behavior, media and politics, and racial politics, having authored six monographs (with at least two still in progress) and over fifty articles and book chapters. His transformative work has set the standard for theoretically rigorous, politically relevant research in American political behavior. Roundtable participants are eager to have the opportunity to engage with the lasting contributions of his research.
