About Annual Meeting
This study seeks to contribute to a gap in the housing literature concerning the housing choices of poor urban, particularly Latino, families that are not recipients of government housing assistance. It examines the housing information sources and primary factors considered by a sample of 23 low-income Latino families, many of whom are female-headed households. Results suggest that social networks play a key role in the housing choices of low-income Hispanic families. Future research directions are discussed.
