Description

This session will focus on movements to address violence against women. It will include American and international scholars on movements and initiatives at international platforms and specific countries. The speakers will address topics such as mobilization to address VAW, initiatives in specific countries to address VAW (including sexual violence in conflict zones) as well as the role of the United Nations to expand the meanings and accounting of VAW.
