ASA encourages the creative use of technology to enhance presentations at the Annual Meeting. ASA will provide an LCD projector and projection screen in all session rooms. ASA will no longer provide laptops/computers for presenter use. This is a change from past years so please plan now to bring your own laptop or tablet if you are presenting. The benefit to presenters bringing their own equipment is that they are comfortable with the format and how to use the equipment. The LCD projectors use a VGA cable for connection so if your laptop or tablet does not have a built-in VGA port you will need an adapter. A limited number of adapters will also available from the AV support techs. You may also request audio for your laptop/tablet by contacting (meetings@asanet.org) before June 1, 2017. The stated equipment is not provided for posters sessions or roundtable sessions.

ASA will also provide basic wireless internet access throughout the meeting space in the Palais des Congrès de Montréal for both presenters and attendees. The bandwidth provided is sufficient for basic internet use including web access and email. Please refrain from streaming, downloading, or uploading large files. If you are incorporating media such as videos into your presentation, please download them to your laptop or tablet instead of streaming them online.

ASA will once again offer the Annual Meeting Mobile App. With the app you can stay organized with up-to-the-minute exhibitor, speaker, and event information; receive important real-time communications from the ASA; build a personalized schedule; take notes; search and locate sessions; find attendees and connect with your colleagues through Friends; and much more.
