This invited panel offers research that explores the relationship between race/ethnicity and police shootings/killings. Panelist will generate timely and important discussions about the topic of race/ethnicity and police shootings/killings, as well as challenge us to explore new forms of data. This session fits well with the ASA conference theme focusing on social justice, “Engaging Social Justice for a Better World” and marks the 5th year anniversary of the incident and death of Eric Garner involving an NYPD officer.
