Asian Americans are often characterized as a homogenous group of outstanding educational attainment, yet research increasingly demonstrates substantial variation in educational attainments across ethnic subgroups and generations. This study contributes to the literature by analyzing intergenerational educational attainment among Asian American adults using the IPUMS Current Population Survey (2014–2021). Focusing on six major ethnic Asian subgroups (Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese), we estimate ordered logistic regression models predicting educational attainment across first, second, and third generations, controlling for age, gender, marital status, metropolitan residence, and region. We further examine subgroup‑by‑generation interactions to identify divergent educational trajectories omitted in aggregated analysis.
