This paper is a critical policy analysis of anti-immigration legislation related to the Supreme Court Case Plyler V. Doe. The authors analyze the current policy landscape to show how anti-immigrant legislation threatens educational equity for immigrant students and disrupts schools and learning. The analysis reveals the types of ways that these state-level bills propose and enact exclusionary and inclusionary language and practices that will limit or protect the educational rights of immigrant students. Implications for policy and practice are discussed.
