Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)
This session showcases research that illuminates the mechanisms linking spatial dynamics and social processes. How do forms of proximity, distance, and positioning affect individual choice and collective patterns? How do spatial arrangements—geographic, relational, or cultural—emerge from, constrain, or amplify social outcomes? We welcome a range of approaches across diverse settings, from residential contexts and mobility to social networks and digital arenas, that offer insights into how and why space matters.
