Session Submission Type: Invited Session (90 minute)
This session explores new and innovative approaches to understanding masculinities across the spectrum of racial and ethnic categories. Participants will address how and why their scholarship, which is mostly centered on a singular racial or ethnic category, can critically inform about research efforts and analytical insights about masculinities that are associated with other racial and ethnic groups. The session will culminate in discussion of whether there can or should be a shared sociological project dedicated to understanding racialized masculinity.
