The Work Continues: Scholarly Activities Post-Retirement

Description

Panelists will provide brief descriptions of the scholarly work they have conducted after their retirements and then discuss a series of questions concerning the experience of conducting research after retirement. Issues to be discussed concern whether writing foci have changed, engagement with other colleagues and scholarly communities, extent of connection to and support from both institutions and colleagues, and other related issues. The goal of this workshop is to offer support and reflection for other sociologists who are anticipating or have recently retired.
