These papers investigate how environmental risks are filtered through social structures—institutions, inequalities, cultural norms, and individual perceptions—to produce uneven outcomes in behavior, vulnerability, and adaptation. Together, they move from exposure to response, highlighting the social processes that shape how people experience, interpret, and act on environmental change.
