More than 200 Historical Markers dot the Galveston Island landscape, but none indicate spaces used by Black Oklahoman emigrants during the 20th century’s only successful “Return-to-Africa” Movement. This poster highlights the gaps in additional scholarship utilizing existing sources could contribute to the Commemorative Landscape and further historical inquiry about Black-Led Returns-to-Africa.
