This study seeks countermeasures for prevention of adolescent sexual deviance in South Korea. The researchers examine the causes, actual conditions, and countermeasures of juvenile sexual deviance. The results demonstrate that to prevent juvenile sexual deviance: 1) it is very important to make an effort to minimize harmful environmental factors, such as illegal bars, houses of prostitution, and the cyber-environment, in order to reduce the side-effects of negative societal surroundings; 2) family functioning must be strengthened which can improve relationships and prevent juveniles from leaving home. Third, it is necessary to reinforce education of juveniles with sound sexual knowledge and counseling for sexual problems; and 3) all numbers of the community, including parents, school faculties, and peers should make a sustained effort not to stigmatized a juvenile who committed sexual deviance, in order to prevent a negative self-image.
