This paper presents findings from a mail survey of Juvenile Judges in a midwestern state. The survey consisted (in part) of open-ended questions regarding the race/ethnic, class, and gender disparities which characterize the U.S. juvenile justice system. Judges perspectives on social structure vs. individual level factors are examined.
