Female Participants and Drug Court Completion

Abstract

Drug court programs were developed with the goal of rehabilitating offenders in terms of drug dependency. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that affect drug court completion rates, focusing specifically on female drug court participants. Secondary data regarding drug court participants was provided by a large county in Texas. The participants’ demographics, criminal history, and treatment history are examined in relation to drug court completion rates.
