Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
Policymakers and scholars have proposed and implemented a wide variety of place-based interventions with the intention of reducing crime. These interventions include destruction of housing, construction of housing, patrol strategies, BIDs, and gang injunctions. While some of these interventions have been shown to affect crime, measuring the exact crime effects of these interventions can be difficult. This panel brings together researchers estimating the crime effects of several contemporary place-based interventions.
