Seven Ways to Make Prison Work

Abstract

There has been great deal iof discussion about the failings of the prison and the damage that it can do to individuals, families and neighbourhoods. However, how these institutions could be usefully reformed has received much less attention. In this paper number of practical policies are presented that it is suggested could make prisons more effective and more less damaging institutions.
