When ASC convenes in November, the nation will face a changed political landscape, with a new president-elect, changes in Congress and a new lineup of governors and mayors. What does this mean for criminal justice? Have many new officeholders embraced trends such as evidence-based policy making or are we likely to see new approaches to policing, prosecution, and punishment?
